Fly away with me.....
Well, just a quick post to say that I am off to an archaeology conference for the next week in England.
Not sure if I will be able to post on the run, so will leave you with this lovely picture of a magnolia tree that I spotted near Parc Monceau. Not only was the tree beautiful, but it was in front of a lovely brick and stone building. Just looked perfect together.
Have a good week.
A bit blurry, and too bright... but not bad for an iphone camera.

cherie, are you back or stuck? I'm in NL and well, you know, supposed to fly back tomorrow. We'll see if that will happen....!
ReplyDeleteHave been stuck.... but just arrived via eurostar.
ReplyDeleteYou may get lucky as the week progresses.
Bon courage ma cherie!
Oh dear--got your ash stuck--I'll pay more attention now when you say "Fly away with me..."
ReplyDelete(Archaeologists and volcanologists have an awful lot of time separating them, don't they!)
Sigh, it is more annoying than anything..... but having the two specialties I am completely fascinated by what is happening.
ReplyDeleteI think the plume has reached your shores about now. Hope you don't have winds blowing in from north which carry it down to you.
I was a little girl living in Hawaii when Kilauea Iki erupted in 1959, and living in Missoula, Montana when the whole little city turned white with ash from the 1980 Mount St. Helens eruption.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason blessed twice, "fascinated" is exactly the right word.
Phew, so glad someone else thinks it fascinating and that I am not some weirdo geek! lol
ReplyDeleteDid you get any photos from the 1980 eruption? I would love to see some if you did.
